About our team

We understand that a stable electric system is essential for the communities we serve. Through our teams, we drive the direction and decisions needed to advance the system’s transformation, strengthen its stability, and support Puerto Rico’s progress.

Focused on our customers, we work every day to provide reliable service while building a more resilient system that is better prepared for the future. This vision guides the leadership we present in this section, where you can get to know the individuals who lead our efforts and uphold our commitment to a stronger and more sustainable Puerto Rico.

Janisse Quiñones assumed the role of CEO of LUMA on March 30, 2026, to lead the transformation of Puerto Rico’s transmission and distribution system. A Puerto Rican mechanical engineer and emergency management expert, she has held leadership positions at PG&E, National Grid, and most recently led the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. With more than two decades of service in the U.S. Coast Guard and a strong academic background, she returns to Puerto Rico committed to transforming and strengthening the electric grid.
