This week marks an exciting milestone for LUMA as we celebrate six months of having the privilege to serve you.
Since we assumed operations of Puerto Rico’s transmission and distribution delivery system on June 1, 2021, we’ve been hard at work making progress every day to improve our service. Our team of more than 3,000 has been working hard to transform the island’s electric grid into a more reliable, more resilient and cleaner energy system.
In just the past six months, we’ve been able to make significant progress on critical actions to improve infrastructure repairs and upgrades, customer service and solar adoption. We will continue to move forward and advance our ongoing and concerted effort to build a world class energy system that Puerto Ricans deserve and can be proud of.
While there is much more work to do, we have proved in just six months how determined we are to build a more reliable, more resilient, safer and cleaner electric system for all of Puerto Rico.
