San Juan, Puerto Rico – December 1, 2025 – As part of its annual commitment to community safety and well-being, LUMA recently announced the launch of a new awareness initiative focused on educating the public about the risks associated with electricity and promoting safe practices to prevent accidents in homes and businesses.
The educational campaign highlights everyday situations that often go unnoticed but can be easily prevented with the right information. Topics covered include:
- How to decorate safely during the holiday season
- What to do when encountering downed power lines
- Safe and responsible use of extension cords at home
Each educational segment offers clear, easy-to-follow recommendations aimed at fostering a culture of prevention and reinforcing LUMA’s core message: People First, Safety Always.
