The company guides citizens on the dangers and risks associated with electricity through an educational campaign
October 22, 2024 – As part of its commitment to educating the community about the risks associated with contact with electricity, LUMA has launched a new safety campaign to prevent incidents. This campaign has included educational workshops in 298 schools, reaching over 10,000 students who have learned about the risks associated with electrical contact, among other topics. In addition to the talks, the campaign extends through social media, the website, and strategic partnerships with non-profit organizations.
The campaign addresses electrical risks at home, in businesses, and outdoors, highlighting essential tips such as avoiding overloading extension cords and keeping a safe distance from downed power lines. It also emphasizes the importance of reporting electrical emergencies immediately by calling LUMA’s Customer Service Center to ensure a prompt and efficient response.
“At LUMA, our priority is the safety of every home and community. We are committed to educating our customers about the electrical risks they face daily. We want our employees and customers to get home safely at the end of the day,” said Juan Saca, President and CEO of LUMA.
The campaign, which involves actual employees from various areas of the company, reflects LUMA’s ongoing commitment to the community and its safety. The motto “People First.
