The company reaffirms its commitment to community safety and well-being through safety workshops and donations of non-perishable goods
Maricao, Puerto Rico – February 5, 2025 – As part of its commitment to the communities, LUMA offered an educational workshop on electrical safety and distributed non-perishable food items to over 100 residents from various communities in Maricao. The event, held at the Indiera Alta basketball court in the El Treinta sector, highlights LUMA’s dedication to education, safety, and the well-being of communities across Puerto Rico.
The event aimed to foster social integration and strengthen the collaboration between LUMA and Maricao’s El Treinta residents. During the workshop, participants received guidance on electrical safety measures during emergencies involving power lines, safe electricity handling, accident prevention, and more. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify doubts.
Through the “LUMA in Your Community” initiative, the company emphasizes its commitment to supporting communities by focusing on its fundamental pillars: Youth Education and Wellness, Economic Development and Recovery, and Energy Stewardship.
