PROGRESS FOR PUERTO RICO: LUMA SHARES NEW RELIABILITY AND RESILIENCY GOALS TO IMPROVE SERVICE FOR ITS 1.5 MILLION CUSTOMERS 

LUMA’s Progress for Puerto Rico Dashboard also provides updates on key actions the company has taken to improve the electric system, including substation upgrades, vegetation clearing, stronger poles, new streetlights, and more. 

San Juan, Puerto Rico, February 27, 2025 – As part of its commitment to transparency, LUMA recently published an updated “Progress for Puerto Rico” Dashboard to include new goals on key improvement projects and initiatives to be completed by June 30, the end of Fiscal Year 2025. The dashboard tracks LUMA’s cumulative progress on actions it is taking on critical reliability and resiliency initiatives, which include FEMA-funded improvement projects, streetlight installations, substation upgrades, miles of hazardous vegetation cleared, smart meter assessments, energy savings through customer-focused conservation programs, and utility pole replacements.
